This notice explains how participant information and optional product feedback are used by GoWhereTogether.
What information is collected
When you respond to a group invitation, GoWhereTogether may store your display name, availability, activity preferences, budget limit and must-have requirements. When you vote, GoWhereTogether stores your display name and ratings for the shortlist options. Supabase also creates an anonymous account identifier so the same browser can update its own response or vote. If you choose to rate GoWhereTogether, we store your rating, selected feedback category, optional comment, the feedback page and submission time.
How it is used
Gathering information is used to combine group preferences, generate a practical shortlist, tally votes and allow the organiser to manage the plan. Your display name may be shown to other invitees on response and voting pages so they can avoid duplicate entries. Your availability, preferences, budget, requirements and shortlist ratings remain available only to the organiser and authorised organiser devices. Product feedback is reviewed internally to identify improvements and is not displayed publicly.
Who processes the data
GoWhereTogether uses Supabase for authentication and database storage and Vercel for application hosting. Participant responses and product feedback are not intended to be publicly searchable.
How long the data is kept
GoWhereTogether's retention period for gathering data is 90 days. Plans with a gathering date are scheduled for deletion after 90 days following that date. If no gathering date is set, the plan is scheduled for deletion 90 days after it was created. Deleting the plan also removes its participant responses, preferences, requirements and poll votes. Product feedback may be retained separately to monitor recurring issues and improvements.
Your choice
You can choose not to submit a response, vote or product feedback. Before a participant submission, GoWhereTogether asks you to acknowledge this notice and the Terms of Use. Please do not include passwords, payment details or other sensitive information in feedback. If you want your data removed earlier, contact the organiser or email admin@gowheretogether.com.
